How to Read Your Report

The format of the report you receive from Brigham Construction has been approved by the Oregon Pest Control Association. The report is divided into four sections which are described below.

Section 1 - Pages 1 and 2 (Specific information for the house inspected)

Page 1 has check boxes on the bottom that summarize the findings of the inspector. All of the findings are described in detail in Section 4 of the report.

Page 2 describes the conditions governing this report. The check boxes at the top give you specific information about the house inspected, and the rest of the page gives you general information about all houses inspected.

Section 2 - Page 3 (Specific diagram for the house inspected)

Page 3 is a diagram of the house inspected. The legends at the bottom of the page are used to note findings on the diagram and are associated by number with the recommendations in Section 4.

Section 3 - Pages 4, 5 and 6 (General information for all inspections)

Page 4 describes Industry Standards for the report including what is included and procedures. Included here are definitions of terms used in the report that you might not be familiar with.

Pages 5 and 6 discuss the limitations of the inspection, work performed by others, types of reports and time limits governing the report. At the end of page 6 are special notices you will want to read.

Section 4 - Page 7 to the end (Specific information for the house inspected)

These pages contain specific notes, findings and recommendations for the house inspected. The "Addendum to Conditions Governing This Report" is a section of notes that supplements page 2 of the report with specific notes about the house inspected.

"Wood Destroying Organisms", "Conditions Favoring WDO" and "Miscellaneous" all contain specific findings and recommendations for the house inspected. They are numbered and when necessary noted on the diagram on page 3 of the report.
